Healthy Snacks by Tommy

Today we tasted chocolate, up and go, museli bars, seaweed and jellybeans. We had to write what could be inside the treats. We did this for our inquiry about change. We want to make a snack that will be good for athletes to keep them energised

That's a great post with some great ideas! I will share it with my class of students tomorrow morning but I have an excellent question that you must answer for me that I think all my students will want to know - what did the seaweed taste like?

    1. Hi Mr Webb and Room Three,
Thank you for your comment. Tasting the food was fun. The seaweed tasted like salt. I didn't like it. Have any of you tasted seaweed before?

Thank you for replying to my comment. My class of students are not at school today as we had our Lamb and Calf Day so I can't ask them if they have tried Seaweed. I have as part of sushi. I am going to ask my class tomorrow and see what they say about it so thank for you for the question.

  3. Lily Ji - thank you for your kind words about the pictures thats some of the art from our school of two hundred students so it was work from Y1 to Y8. What kind of pictures do you like drawing?

Blaze - the 3D pictures were made with think cardboard layered onto other pieces so the animals like the cows had a base with another level stuck on top (the head) and then a further level with something else extra on top of that (like the eyes or the cow tag). Have you ever made any 3D pictures?

Hadley - we have used Kizoa quite a bit to do slideshows on our class blog. Its free and its really easy to use we usually have our students create the slideshows. All the effects in the slideshows are auto-generated which means you don't have to create them it puts them in automatically. This means that you can make a slideshow really easily and quickly and it looks quite good. If you ask your teacher how to make one then she can show you. We make slideshows all the time of photos we take outside when the seasons change or its wet.

  4. That sounds fun! We think there might be better choices than jelly beans but they would give you energy! Are you actually going to put the stuff together and make the healthy snack?
