Our last Spanish lesson this year

On Friday we did our last Spanish lesson. Maria and Nicola were very impressed with all of the learning that has happened this year. We have also been impressed that Spanish has been a choice for you and you all come back every week.

If you would like to access some of the songs that we have been singing you can access them here: Spanish Songs

Thank you Maria for all of your hard work and time. We have loved your lessons.

Spanish and Friday Choice Afternoon

On a Friday afternoon, students can choose what they learn. This year we have been very fortunate that Maria has given up her time to teach us Spanish. These students chose to be part of this group.

Today we learnt about things in the kitchen through song and dance.

Here is the song that we learnt:

Students have also started to run their own workshops. Last week one of our students ran a workshop about how to draw a superhero.

Today a couple of our students ran a gymnastics workshop.

We are loving the learner agency. It's very exciting!

Preparing for our Spanish Fiesta

Today we will be going to Island Bay School for a Spanish fiesta. The spanish students and two Spanish kids from our class got some wraps ready. We got ham, lettuce, tomato and chicken. We also made guacamole. We are very excited about our trip to Island Bay School today.
