Thanks for coming to visit us at the gardens-what a fantastic bunch of students Worser Bay has. I hope the rest of the afternoon went well. I was just wondering if your students would be interested in sharing their thoughts on the characters we are designing for the Children’s Garden. Children's Garden Feedback
Message from Anneke from the Wellington City Council:
Thanks for coming to visit us at the gardens-what a fantastic bunch of students Worser Bay has. I hope the rest of the afternoon went well. I was just wondering if your students would be interested in sharing their thoughts on the characters we are designing for the Children’s Garden. I have attached the images- there’s one for each pillar; food, fibre , medicine and construction- the main uses of plants we will be looking at in the Children’s Garden.

Our ideas for the new Children's Garden at the Botanical Gardens
Today we had a visit from Anneke and Ally from Wellington Botanical Gardens. They showed us different plants. We learnt lots about different plants and their uses. They were keen to get our ideas for the new children's garden in the Wellington Botanical Gardens.
"The garden will be a learning space where children will:
traditional plant skills and useslearn out about the medicinal properties of native plantsfind with plants important to other cultures.work
Wellington Botanic Garden will maintain the Children's Garden, and provide an educator to work with school groups and visitors.”
You can read more on the website: http://childrensgarden.org.nz/

Thank you Anneke and Ally for talking to us. We are enjoying our growing inquiry! Also a big thank you to Sophie (Matilda's mum) for arranging this for us.
