What are our favourite play spaces at Worser Bay School? What would we ask Jude to have built and where? What would it look like? This week some of us have been writing about these things. Some of us in Tautoru have been describing our favourite play spaces and dreaming of what else we could have.
Here is some of our writing about what we enjoy:
What do we dream of? What could we ask Jude to add to our play spaces?
Next, we will publish our writing and give it to Jude. We hope that she will be inspired and we might see a rollercoaster or a rocket... you never know!

Wellington - Our windy little city by Mya Simpson
Wellington - Our windy little city
by Mya Simpson
What a pity our little city is so windy.
What a pity our city is so windy on a wet Wellington day.
The waves crash against the rocks.
The waves crash against the rocks on a wet Wellington day.
The skirts fly. The skirts fly into the windy wet Wellington wind.
The hats blow away. The hats blow away into the windy wet Wellington wind.
Oh what a windy little city.

Wednesday by Zach
I get out of the car and the wind is howling as loud as a tornado. I run up to school as fast as my legs can take me. I hear the waves crashing on the beach as I dash inside. I hang my bag up and I hear a deafening crash .... I go to the window but it was just thunder. The whipping and howling wind hits the class room. I look outside it is deserted apart from bending trees and stirring sea.

THUNDER
Wow! What an amazing day of weather.
Buckets of rain, thunder and lightening.
Here is a snippet of inspiration from one of the children.
"The thunder hit the sky and unrolled like a carpet of sound"

I am a Cicada
By Matilda
I am Cicada,
I lay eggs.
I can fly and I drop
from my nest immediately.
I have a male friend.
He has a drum on his
abdomen; this is how he found me.
My babies are called
nymphs.
I live underground
for 17 years and I only come out when it’s time to have babies.

The Night Sky - By Jupiter
A black carpet filled the sky as it turned to night.
I smelt the day fade away.
I felt darkness gather around and I heard the silent moon rise at the beach.

My Extraordinary Day
On my extraordinary day I went to attack the dinosaurs. I tried to push through but that didn’t work. There were T Rex's and triceratops guarding me. I had nothing but my sword. I got my sword. Now it was a fight. I swung my sword. The dinosaurs moved fast, back and back. I saw my sword shining with silver. I was getting tired. The fight was almost over. I saw a tyrannosaurus. I had only one chance. I jumped on its back. It flew me back home. What an extraordinary day it had been.
