A symphony of colour

In our science rotation today we explored what what happens when you put drops of food colouring and dish washing liquid in milk.
Before we added the dish washing liquid it looked like this.

When we added the dishwashing liquid it looked like this.

The reason for this is the dish washing liquid is breaking down the fat in the milk.

You can find the instructions for this at Science Bob.

Apple Corer Explanation Writing

Today we have written explanations about an Apple Corer. We used different apps on the iPads to help us with our writing.  We were very lucky to have some helpers from Mahutonga come in and help us with the iPads. Some of us learnt to use Piccollage and some of us learnt to use word Q.
You can read our writing below.

Apple corers are things that make it easy to peel apples, they also take out the core. Apple corers peel the apple skin off in one go.

Apples are fun to eat because You can do stuff like silliness.
You can eat an apple faster by coring it using an apple corer.
