Zombie Day

On Friday the 30th of October there is going to be a zombie day at school.  Dress up in your favourite zombie design and you could win the zombie competition!

We have been learning how to use PicCollage to capture some of our learning during Daily 5 time...have a look at what we created.

This is my family that I made at free art during daily 5. It even has a stand to keep it up.

Flag Design

In maths we have been using fractions to design flags. For these flags we have used thirds.
These flags are one third orange, one third green and one third blue. We found out that 4 is one third of 12.

More volume and capacity! We're estimating and guessing the volume of different containers and comparing. Some of the little containers hold a lot more than we thought!!

Me on the map of the world...

In Tautoru we have been working on out community writing which is centred around "Me on the Map". We started with me, my room, my community, my city and my country. We coloured our maps and then drew a line to where we come from!
