Many thanks to the families who donated dress ups this term. We are loving dressing up during Daily 5 and wet lunch time.

We are exploring place value. Teen numbers have 1 ten. Ty numbers have more than 1 ten!

Wellington - Our windy little city

What a pity our little city is so windy.

The waves crash against the rocks.

The skirts fly. The skirts fly into the windy wet Wellington wind.

The hats blow away. The hats blow away into the windy wet Wellington wind.

Oh what a windy little city.

Assembly 21.8.15

This morning we had a brilliant assembly. Autahi shared some great lighthouse art. Tautoru shared some writing about the community they also shared a song about a doughnut shop. Matariki and Mahutonga shared some poems. We sang a new song called Budapest. Hamish had a huge pile of awards to give out! The focus has been on using Maanakitanga.

We had heaps of fun with the time telling. Here's some feedback we gave about the lessons. Jupiter thought that the numbers around the outside of the clock were really helpful for knowing the minutes. Lizzie liked that we got to make our own clocks. Jessie thought it was fun that everyone got a turn!
