Skyscrapers revisited

Today the red group had their second attempt at building skyscrapers.  We used what we had learnt about how to make our structures stronger and our skyscrapers are much taller.

Weet bix challenge....

Chrissy's writing group had a challenge...they had to put their inventors hats on and come up with some creative and interesting recipe ideas using weet bix...here are some photo's to get your taste buds going!

Finding Quarters

Today in Maths Ruth's Tui group practiced sharing in quarters.  We shared our pizza muffins cookies an juice between 4 people so everyone had an equal share.  We each got 1/4.

Fun at the Beach

We spent the afternoon at the beach practising skills for the athletics.

'ar' Word Family

Our sound group are learning about the word family 'ar'. We wrote our words on the outside blackboard. These are some of the words that we made.

Give me half

Ruth's maths groups have been learning about halves.  We read the book 'Give me half' then practiced sharing things with a partner so we each got half.
