We went to the tip today as part of our inquiry into what's in our backyard. We learned so much important and shocking information. Ask us about what we learned! We've all got some reading in our bags to share with you. We've started to come up with some good ideas especially around sustainability, so watch this space for more information coming about what Tautoru is going to do to take action around our rubbish problem!
I'm originally from New York City but also lived in Chicago for three years where I got my Masters in Education and began my teaching career. I taught at Houghton Valley School before moving to Worser Bay School and this is my 8th year teaching. I have taught from year 6 down to New Entrants. I am passionate about literature and children's literacy as well as art.
I am leading the school in implementing a sustainable sustainability program and am the art cupboard fairy.
When I'm not at work you can find me at the SPCA playing with puppies, out and about walking my dogs, on some walking or running adventure around Wellington or scouring the dump shop to find treasure and new DIY projects.
